Shawnee County Fair Livestock Sale Requirements
Buyer and withdrawal forms are located in the county fair book
Added Requirement
On September 24, 2024, the Shawnee County Fair Board voted to amend the requirements for participation in the Shawnee County Fair Livestock Sale. In addition to completing YQCA training, completing buyer forms, making minimum sale weights, and meeting withdrawal deadlines, the Livestock Committee will be hosting 3 educational meetings for 4-H & FFA youth. Youth are required to attend at least 2 of these meetings. There will be make-up opportunities available in case a youth is not able to attend in person. 2 of the meetings will be held at tagging and weigh-in dates. The intent to sell deadline will also be implemented again this year. 4-H and FFA members who plan to sell an animal through the premium auction must have their information in the intent to sell book by 30 minutes after the conclusion of the beef show.
If anyone has any questions, please contact the office.
